The news represents a selection of important events in the company's recent history.

2007, June 18
Becker Consulting Global Ltd acquires the assets of Becker Consulting AB, closing down its' Swedish operation.
The reason for this step is that the development and management of a BOOT project off Guinea/Conakry, on behalf of its owners and investors, requires continuous commercial presence on Gran Canaria, Spain. Thus, it is no longer feasible to run Becker Consulting operations from a base in Sweden.

2007, May 30
Becker Consulting Global Ltd is established as a United Kingdom Limited company based in London.

2007, May 29
Becker Consulting is awarded a Framework Agreement by Swedish Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) for consulting services within the Sector of Trade-related Development Cooperation.

2006, December
Becker Consulting succeeds in achieving a global financing solution for the development of a 7-8 year fishing business project for sustainable fishing off the coast of the Republic of Guinea/Conakry. The project includes i.a. building and deployment of a ship-owning company with a fleet of 23-24 boats, including factory/freezer vessels and reefers.

2005, October 7
Becker Consulting is contracted by ILEAP (International Lawyers and Economists against Poverty) to give advice on Trade Facilitation Priorities for Sub-Saharan Africa in the WTO Doha Agenda negotiations and participate in a workshop on the subject in Cotonou, Benin.

2005, September 28
Becker Consulting is contracted by Swedish Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), Nairobi, to conduct a fact finding and feasibility study. "Agricultural Trade Capacity Development of Sub-Saharan Africa".

2005, May 11
Becker Consulting is contracted by Swedish Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) to evaluate Sida's International Training Programmes in the field of Economic development

2004, May 19
Becker Consulting is assigned by Swedish Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) to participate in the African Union Conference of Ministers of Trade, Customs and Immigration 24-28 May 2004 in Kigali, Rwanda

2004, December 16
Becker Consulting comments on EU trade policy.
Sieps, the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies, held a seminar 16 December 2004
“Which Priorities for the New Commission in the WTO?”
The Director-General for Trade with the EU Commission, Mogens Peter Carl introduces the EU priorities for the current negotiations under the Doha Development Agenda to a Swedish and international audience.
At the seminar, Senior Advisor Mrs Gunnela Becker at Becker Consulting comments the presentation by DG Carl.

2004, September 16
Becker Consulting is contracted by UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Regional Bureau for Africa, New York, to produce a research report on Market Access issues of relevance for Sub-Saharan Africa, within the framework of UNDP's Trade Capacity Development Project for Sub-Saharan Africa.

2003, August 19
In two articles published on August 11, 2003 The McKinsey Quarterly recognizes what Becker Consulting stated in these pages already in September 2001

2002, November 30
Advancing new ideas for Transfer of Technology to Least Developed Countries (LDC) under the WTO/TRIPS Agreement
Becker Consulting delivers a study for the Swedish International Development Assistance Agency (Sida). An English version of the study has been developed for the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The latter, and further ideas of relevance to foreign direct investments (FDI) in developing countries, were presented by Senior Advisor Mrs Gunnela Becker at an UNCTAD expert meeting on FDI on 6-8 November 2002, on behalf of the Ministry for foreign Affairs and Sida. The study has also been presented by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as a Swedish contribution to the EU trade policy analytical process.

2002, July 2
Exclusive agreement with Countermine Technologies AB for business development including financing.
Through the agreement Becker Consulting will explore opportunities for building Countermine Technologies AB's (CMT) assets and developing CMT’s international business to an optimal scale of operations, inter alia through finding both short and long term financing solutions for the expansion.
Becker Consulting is thus fully committed to the overall CMT objectives of providing humanitarian, commercial clearing of mined land into productive land, a task of significant urgency to the world community.
