Jan Robert Becker, PhD, is co-founder, senior partner, CEO and strategy consultant with Becker Consulting since 1993, a private corporation for strategic counselling on enterprise innovation with a global perspective. He is specialized in High Tech, experimental physics, electronics and IT/IS strategic issues, for business analysis.
Beginning in year 2000, he works closely with Mrs. Gunnela Becker the chair of Becker Consulting in Becker Consulting doing strategic counseling. He is strongly focused on board level counselling and hands-on assistance with a view to enhancing enterprise and business development, as well as sustainable investments. He is currently concentrated on infrastructure and business development projects, especially related to Africa.

Mr. Becker, together with Mrs. Gunnela Becker, is also co-founder (2007), senior partner, senior consultant and business developer with Render Safe Limited, based in London, United Kingdom. Additionally, Mr. Becker is the Managing Director of Render Safe. Render Safe is a privately owned company for developing industrial and infrastructure development projects, building on and using, inter alia, a unique, ultra safe, economic and rapid technology for land-mine clearance.

Previously, for 20 years, he counseled organizations in i.a. the banking and finance, energy, IT/IS, telecoms, hospital and automobile sectors as well as the public sector. He has advised client top management, including acting as department and project manager, with full economic responsibility, procurement and liaison person for all internal and external activities relating to numerous projects. Additionally, the counselling comprised strategic and expert advice including data management, integrity, security and communication. In his early consulting years, he was employed by and later partner of a few consulting firms, in a senior consultant position, leading a team of consultants.

In 1979, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy at the Department of Physics of Stockholm University. He led a team of scientists doing state of the art research in nuclear structure physics, developing methodology, designing and performing experiments, including tutoring and coaching on the post PhD level.

He is a member of the advisory board of several entities, including a technology development and marketing company focused on hydrogen generation and solar energy.
