Becker Consulting: About Mrs. Gunnela Becker. Enterprise Innovation Facilitators.

Gunnela Becker is co-founder (1993), senior partner, chairperson and strategy consultant with Becker Consulting AB in Sweden, a privately owned company for strategic counseling on trade policy, science/technology and international enterprise innovation.

Beginning in year 2000, she works closely with Mr. Jan Robert Becker, PhD, the CEO in Becker Consulting doing strategic counseling. She is specialized in global trade policy and business analysis, counseling and hands-on assistance with a view to enhancing enterprise and business development, as well as sustainable investments.

Gunnela Becker, together with Mr. Jan Robert Becker, PhD, is also co-founder (2005), senior partner, senior consultant and business developer with Render Safe Limited in UK, a privately owned company for developing industrial and infrastructure development projects, building on and using, inter alia, a unique, ultra safe, economic and rapid Swedish technology for land-mine clearance.

Her previous position was Head of the Global Trade Division, Counselor of Commerce and member of the management group at the Swedish National Board of Trade, a governmental agency operating under the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She led a staff of trade policy analysts and statisticians, operating in a large national and international network. She has worked for the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, i.a. as a spokesperson and chairperson for the Nordic countries in many GATT negotiations. She has been a Swedish spokesperson in the OECD. She has over 30 years of wide and deep experience of international analytical and negotiating tasks, e.g. in the WTO.

She has experiences from the following business sectors: agriculture, processed agricultural products, forestry, energy, chemistry, textiles, steel, civil aircraft and other technical industries incl. high tech, trade in services.

She has experience of legal and policy issues in e.g. the following areas: WTO rules, EU and EES rules, customs rules and tariffs, public procurement, technical barriers to trade, rules of origin, pre-shipment inspections, issues relating to countries in transition and developing countries, trade/competition, trade/environment, trade/investments, technology transfer, balance of payments measures.

She has had assignments for the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as for enterprises in Sweden, Europe and the United States.
